Nebuella

Nebuella is an alien of indeterminate species, currently living on the planet New Sovereign.

She claims to be the second coming of Galaxy; the god who created the universe, but who was then destroyed by her firstborn star, Blackhole. Though she does not yet possess the full array of Galaxy’s divine powers, she claims that her powers are still reawakening, and will reveal themselves in due course. Whatever the source of her power, she certainly appears to possess great strength. Several High Priests from the Order of the Galactic Halo have travelled to meet her, and each has independently verified four separate miracles which, they claim, could not have been achieved with magic alone.

Though she does not consider herself an empress, Nebuella has attracted followers at an astonishing rate. These include not just individuals, but entire planets too. Kings and queens have defected from the Orion Corporation to join her divine cause and enjoy her holy protection, under the banner she has come to call the Galaxian Protectorate.

Nebuella considers Blackhole her sworn nemesis, and believes it her fate to vanquish him, once the full artillery of her powers have been unlocked. She dislikes Blackhole′s followers, the Order of the Event Horizon, and she also dislikes Galaxy′s original followers, the Order of the Galactic Halo, who ask too many questions and have too little faith. As for the starsprites, Nebuella has no bond with them yet. She is determined to win them over at any cost – but should she fail, this will only be taken as proof that she has returned more powerful than before, and no longer has need for them, having outgrown their usefulness.

She leads the faithful from her throne in the Star Citadel: an imposing structure worthy of her proclaimed divinity, located in New Sovereign’s capital, Eternastar. She wears the Empyreal Crown and carries the Staff of Galaxy. These ancient, holy relics both have long and storied histories in their own rights, and Nebuella’s possession of them adds considerable weight to her claims.

Having an authorative, almost regal presence, Nebuella carries herself with a divine dignity, and she commands respect wherever she goes. She likes to be referred to by one of her many titles – Igniter of Stars, Weaver of Fate, and so on – and she bestows favour upon those who kneel at her feet and present her with tokens of their faith.

She goes by Nebuella because she thinks it’s a better name than Galaxy.
