Dreamshackle

Dreamshackle is a planet in the Milky Way Galaxy.

Governed by an entity known only as the All-Seeing Eye, Dreamshackle is a turbulent gas planet. Primarily, it is home to the dreameaces, who are a species of handwoven beings charged with venturing out into the galaxy in search of nightmares (manifestations of Blackhole’s darkness), capturing them in their nets and returning them to their planet for imprisonment. Hence, ‘Dreamshackle’.

Due to its inhospitable conditions and calamitous storms, Dreamshackle is deadly to anyone but the dreameaces and their prisoners. Even if it wasn’t, it’s protected by impenetrable magical barriers, ensuring that no nightmares may escape to wreak their havoc once more on the sleeping galaxy. If those defences weren’t enough, the planet’s tumultuous surface is also guarded by an elite force of dreameace sentinels whose job it is to make certain that nobody gets in and nobody gets out.

As a very fast and chaotic planet on the whole, Dreamshackle is characterised by its short days and years. Day passes to night and back again in just six short hours, and the planet completes a full cycle of its host star in just 1,215 days. Dreamshackle is orbited by more than a hundred moons, and it’s crowned by a set of magnificent rings which dazzle with sparkling, golden light.
